Prepare to get stung!! A deadly swarm has arrived from the bayou to draw your blood!! As you know, I scour the coldest corners of the underground to find emerging bands, and present them to you w/ unique packaging + presentation.

Formed early 2022 by a group of friends in + around the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area who played in various metal + hardcore bands together, Phallic Laceration bleeds influences from the modern revival of old school death metal, beatdown hardcore, slam, mid-90’s Nü Metal + noise-adjacent filth.

“Mosquito” is their first demo, tracked at a now-defunct DIY venue in Baton Rouge + originally released digitally in September 2023. Raw, dirty + disgusting just the way we like it.

As a throwback to the popular “cassingle” format of the 90’s, “Mosquito” is 3 tracks on solid black cassette w/ old school Memorex-style adhesive label, housed in a shrinkwrapped slipcase. No J-card, no plastic case — all killer, no filler.

This is just the beginning, as Phallic Laceration is in the process of gearing up to pierce your eardrums w/ more audible violence . . .
