Frozen Screams Imprint (FSI-005) continues to rep the East Coast with the debut full-length from DEAD AND DRIPPING out of New Jersey. "Profane Verses of Murderous Rhetoric" features approximately 37 minutes of raw, old-school inspired brutal death metal spread across 7 tracks.

After the beautifully dark cover art catches your eye, beneath the surface there’s so much more going on here. The time signatures are all over the place & the deranged drum patterns really steal the show, in all their unconventional & improvisational glory. Slapping bass grooves creep out of the background in all the right places. Deep, disgusting vocal growls tie all the madness together. There’s a lot for your ears to take in, but this is organized chaos. It’s the kind of record you have to listen to several times to really grasp the brilliance that lies within.

DEAD AND DRIPPING started a few years back with the “Disillusioned by Excessive Human Consumption” 2016 demo, which showed a great deal of promise. “Profane Verses” takes a stick of dynamite to that foundation & builds something completely new & unique. It’s always refreshing when something like this comes around to remind us that there is still plenty of room to innovate in a genre too often cursed by its own convention.
