CONCRETE CAVEMAN - “Chasm / Demo” (FSI-035)

Frozen Screams Imprint has curated a collection of all songs recorded to date by CONCRETE CAVEMAN, on one tape, excavated from deep within the cavernous gutters of Philly! Featuring 10 tracks of organized confusion from 2020's "Demo" + 2021's "Chasm" EP. This is a HEAVY release that knows no boundaries in its execution + is too difficult to pinpoint within the confines of a single "genre," so we won't even try -- but to give you a taste, both releases are rooted in hardcore + noise while bringing plenty of death / doom + sludge to the table. CONCRETE CAVEMAN is a raw + aggressive representation of the blood-splattered streets from which they came, and the band has spent the past couple years building their own unique wall of sound that is pure East Coast "street" + sure to satisfy the cravings of any extreme music fiend.

We are excited to start introducing a wider range of heavy music here at Frozen Screams this year + this special release marks a slight detour from the previous output on our label. So it seemed fitting to give this one the PROPER treatment: we housed it in a "concrete" style slipcase w/ cement-colored pro-tape, capturing a full-on audio assault that will leave you twitching on the pavement! Includes reversible J-card with artwork for both releases.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
